Walnut
Walnut came to SCENTdog Collective from the National Search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula, CA. He was donated to NSDF as a Search and Rescue candidate by his breeder on the East Coast, along with the rest of his litter specifically bred for SAR. Unlike many of his siblings, it turned out that Walnut was not a fan of working rubble piles and a career in SAR was not on his list of things to accomplish.

Rowan
Rowan came to SCENTdog Collective from the National Search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula, CA. He was brought to NSDF as a Search and Rescue candidate from a city shelter in California where his sociable demeanor and strong desire to play ball were recognized as good traits for a search dog. While Rowan's career in SAR did not pan out, it just wasn't his calling, his potential to work as a conservation canine was seen.

Ranger
This handsome Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix was destined for action from day one. Ranger’s journey began when his pregnant momma was rescued and taken into foster care by our incredible colleagues. Safe, loved, and nurtured from the start, Ranger grew up surrounded by care and companionship.
-
Hera
Hera was found at an LA County Animal Shelter having been found as a stray in the Antelope Valley along with her companion, a male German short-haired pointer. Her companion was adopted, but Hera was sadly exposed to Parvovirus by her kennel mate at the shelter. She was placed in quarantine where she also contracted bordetella, a typical cold-like illness in dogs common in shelters.

Charli
Charli’s journey to her forever home started at the Palmdale shelter, where she was rescued alongside her kennel mate, Melvin. From the moment she stepped out of her cage, it was clear that Charli was a love bug. She showered everyone she met with affection, and her sweet nature won hearts instantly.

Melvin
Melvin came to SCENTdog Collective at 9-months-old from a LA County animal shelter. This energetic little herding breed mix clearly hadn’t experienced much in his previous life, but that didn’t stop him from taking on every new challenge with enthusiasm. From climbing stairs to playing with toys and exploring new environments, Melvin showed no fear and was ready to tackle it all.
